Our Horse Family

This page is dedicated to our Rocky Mountain Horse Family.  These horses have a long-term home at Stone Bridge Farm, but do not participate in the breeding program.  They are our partners, our friends....our family.

SB Rondezvous' Wrangler

Wrangler, a Rocky Mountain gelding, was born on our farm in June 2000.  He is currently Dan's horse, but we anticipate that he'll soon be co-opted by our children who are itching to get out on the trail with us.  He has the classic Rocky Mountain Horse disposition...cool, calm, and collected as well as a terrific Rocky Mountain gait.  His dam is one of our Rocky Mountain broodmares, Rondezvous Magic, and his sire, High Rebel, belongs to Tamara's father.

Wrangler is a sooty buckskin.  He is 14.3hh.

Squirrel's Honey B

Honey B, a Rocky Mountain yearling filly, is Tamara's new friend.  She was born in Montana in May 2006, and came home to Minnesota in October 2006.  Her dam is Bold Beginning, a Rocky Mountain mare with a special place in Tamara's heart, and her sire is Squirrel Too.

Honey B is a red chocolate and is currently 14.2hh.  She'll be started lightly under saddle during the summer of 2008.

Shadow of the Mountain -- "Shady"

In April 2008, Tamara had the pleasure of meeting Shady.  He was brought to our farm so that Tamara could assist the owner with his gait.  He is a sweet little guy...at 3yo, he is currently only 14.1hh.  The owner was planning to sell him, and we decided he would be a great prospect for our children.  We like his small size and of course his Rocky Mountain temperament.  He will be a mount for Tamara and Dan for the next couple of years, and hopefully be ready for the kids in late 2009.

Pictures coming soon

Ginger

Ginger is our resident pony.  We believe she is 14yo and a cross between a Paso Fino and a Shetland Pony.  She has a nice 4-beat, lateral gait and does well on the trails and in the arena.  However, her favorite place to be is in the pasture eating grass!!
