Hi Tamara,

I just thought I would drop a line.  I bought a bridle this morning and spent time with Anna and Chance.  He did awesome, Anna thought he was doing better than she expected even knowing what a great horse he is!.  We worked on driving and desensitizing.  We used a heavy blanket and then introduced him to the Gator.  He remained calm throughout.  I also rode him for about 15 minutes and he was perfect.  He seems accustomed to his new surroundings and has even gotten used to the busy road.

Hi Tamara,

Some pictures from this morning, it is of course “the” topic in the village at the moment especially for the children.

Everybody is amazed how easy and friendly they are. I keep telling everybody that Rocky Mountain Horses are just made to be loved ;-)

Our trainer is with them at the moment and he fell immediately in love with them. He said Sunny is very playful, Celebration is hugging every single person that comes around and Libby is just sooo easy going.  They just follow him around in the pasture as if they already knew him all their lives.

Last week national TV was making a reportage about the Sumava National park and it’s villages. So they came along Kvilda also and absolutely wanted to shoot some pictures and an interview with the man between our Rocky Mountain Horses.

It was fun though, he walked around with a bucket of food and they followed him around as they do with everyone. Then he walked towards the camera, gave them the food and started the interview, but the food was finished before the interview was so they started to explore the equipment, you know, checking the cameraman, the cables, and especially the microphone was a popular gadget …. They had to bring some more food to keep them quit and finish the interview.

I just wanted to drop a note, we absolutely love Mariah.  I rode her several times this weekend, she’s wonderful.  She is a loving horse, and has adapted very well.  She has been breed at the same time our main mare was, and has become buds with her.  Good to have friends in high places.  We will send photo’s as we get them. Thanks again, you have done a great job raising your horses.

Hi Tamara,

Yesterday we rode on the beach.  Lariat is really something.  She goes out into the water and keeps on going - blowing bubbles, dunking her head - and then she realizes how far out she is when she turns around and starts running back.  It is so weird being on a horse running in deep water.  She just gaits down the beach for miles. She doesn't act like a three year old - and she likes to go! She is incredibly smooth - I barely move in my seat.  She is also very feminine and dainty in her gait, moving very gracefully - yet she is solidly built.

The other Rocky owners keep asking me if I realize what a wonderful little filly I have.  Since she is my first I have no comparisons to make, but according to Mindy [the trainer] she's just super - and incredibly smart.

Just a note - Dreamer is doing well.  She is now much more confident on the trail and wants to be the lead horse.   She crosses water and bridges.  Two weeks ago I took her down the road onto the state trails....  This last Sunday was the first time she spread out in a canter -  She is still a great and wonderful horse.   My confidence has really grown with her and thanks again for encouraging me to buy her.

Proud owner of Legolas

Hi Tamara,

I just wanted to touch base with you and let you know how well Legos is doing.  He has grown quite a bit and in now 15 hands.  He is wonderful on trails.  We have a large city park that is over 3400 acres of land.  The lower park is in the center of town and it has a lot of trails for horses, runner, bikers and walkers.  Legos has become so used to all of the chaos and bikes coming from behind him pass him within a few inches and he just ignores them.  He crosses under a bridge that is part of a large four lane freeway with cars above traveling at 65 mph +.  Not a problem for him.

He is well leg trained and can now move his front end and back end separately along with very nice side passing.  I don't have a big interest in jumping but I may have to do some as Legos loves to jump.  When he is running and playing in the arena on his own and others who used the arena before me have been jumping (3' or so), Legos will often just jump the jumps on his own - I suppose he does it for the joy of jumping. 

I am always telling him that he has a home with us forever.  I plan to grow old with him.  At the barn he is everyone's favorite horse.  He is beautiful and very cute.  His personality is a kick.  I will send photos soon.  I want you to see how much he has grown.
